Following on from the latest round of Smash Bros Wii U rumours, Masahiro Sakurai has tweeted that he won't start working on the game until he has completed work on Kid Icarus Uprising.

It has been suggested that the Wii U version of Smash Bros will be called Smash Bros Universe and could feature more third-party characters. However, Sakurai has said that nothing has been decided yet.
Sakurai wrote "I'm currently concentrating on one title, Kid Icarus. Until this wraps up, Smash Bros. will not progress. Of course, characters have not been decided at all."
With Kid Icarus Uprising not due for release until 2012, it could be a while before we hear any confirmed information on the new games.

First PokéPark 2: Beyond the World gameplay footage
The first footage of recently announced Wii release PokéPark 2: Beyond the World has hit the internet.
First shown during Japanese TV programme Pokémon Sunday, the short thirty-second gameplay clip shows Pokémon Black and White starters Tepig, Oshawott and Snivy all enjoying themselves.
A sequel to last year’s PokéPark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure, PokéPark 2: Beyond the World will feature four-player multiplayer and is set to release in Japan this Winter. No western release has been confirmed, but I’d imagine it’ll make its way over here next year before the Wii U arrives.

Crytek “very happy” with latest Wii U Dev Kits
German-based developer Crytek are well known for their technical prowess within the games industry, continually pushing boundaries both graphically and in terms of gameplay.
One of the three company founders, Avni Yerli, has recently commented on Nintendo’s forthcoming Wii U, regarding which he made resoundingly positive remarks.
“The specs are very good”, Yerli explained. “It’s a challenge for designers, but once thought through it can add value, and that’s what ultimately important. Our guys in Nottingham, they are very happy with their tests on the dev kits and they’re excited about it.”
Such a statement also suggests that Nintendo have released a more up-to-date selection of dev kits to studios currently beavering away to produce software for the forthcoming console, and, more importantly, they’re impressed by them.
The only thing that remains to be explained is what title do Crytek have in the works?

Monster Hunter 4 to be a 3DS Exclusive?

Monster Hunter 4 to be a 3DS Exclusive?
Monster Hunter is insanely popular in Japan – the series alone has made Sony's PSP relevant in the region. There's no doubt that Capcom's recently announced Monster Hunter 4 will have a huge impact in Japan, but what are the chances that this 3DS project stays exclusive to the portable? The answer may not be as clear cut as Nintendo loyalists have hoped.
I'm willing to bet that Monster Hunter 4 will eventually be released on a platform that isn't Nintendo 3DS. The series is just too popular for Capcom to limit its sales by restricting it to one platform.
Monster Hunter Tri was a Wii exclusive to an extent. It was only available on Wii for a while, but then Capcom "re-mastered" the game for PSP. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd isn't the high intensity, online focused Monster Hunter edition that its Wii edition is, but it is the same game more or less.
This leads me to believe that Monster Hunter 4 is merely a timed exclusive, or maybe an exclusive outside of Japan. Capcom needs to help at all to market the title in Japan, so they can release it on any system – it would sell great on iPad. Outside of Japan, however, Monster Hunter hasn't been nearly as successful. It's strange, considering the amazing quality of the series.
Nintendo helped out with the marketing of Monster Hunter Tri in North America, and even published the title in Europe. It's not crazy to think that Nintendo would do the same, under one condition: Monster Hunter 4 doesn't see release on a platform other than 3DS in Europe and North America.
Of course, there's also the possibility that Monster Hunter 4 won't even come to a Sony's PlayStation Vita. When asked why Capcom hasn't announced Monster Hunter 4 for Vita, Sony's global President, Hiroshi Kawano, didn't know what to say.
"I don't know. You will have to ask Capcom," Kawano said.

New Mario & Sonic London 2012 Website and Pictures

In about 11 months (from this point in time), we will all be treated to another round of halfway pointless international competition when the 2012 Summer Olympics in London start up. For those who want something a bit more meaningful and/or considerably less realistic, we have less than 2 months to wait.
I'm talking, of course, about Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
For those that don't know, this game is the third installment of the Mario & Sonic Olympics crossover that have sold very well since it was conceived in 2007. Now with the lessons learned from previous efforts, Nintendo and Sega have pulled out all of the stops for the latest entry: with over 50 events, a number of which could only happen in the worlds where Mario or Sonic reside, one is bound to find something to keep their attention. In addition, there's something called London Party mode, which is similar to the Mario Party series of games and adds more depth to the experience.
Anyway, the game's website has been recently revamped, which includes new game images of some of the events, including beach volleyball, soccer/futbol, target shooting, uneven bars gymnastics, and synchronized swimming (no, seriously).
For those that wish to see what I'm talking about, the official website is listed below:
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games™ - Official Site
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games will come out on the Wii 11/15/2011 and the 3DS in 2/2012.
