“ZuneX” Just A Rumor?

There has been some wild speculation lately, leading up to E3, that Microsoft was set to unveil a portable game system code labled the “XYZ“.  This hand held device was said to combine the Xbox and the Zune portable MP3 player.  It was also being speculated that the device would play Xbox Live games on it, and is now being called the “ZuneX“.

It’s also being rumored that the device will feature the “OnLive” software as well as SD card slots and SIM card slot, making phone capabilities likely.  Tech specs can be seen in these pictures:

Now, these images could be fakes or they could be real, it has yet to be determined.  A recent Microsoft twitter page has claimed that June will be an exciting month for Zune lovers.  Whether or not it’s real or fake it surely does have the gaming industry on it’s ear waiting for a confirmation of some sorts, true or not, at this year’s E3 expo.
