Square Teaser Site Is Finally Revealed!

Uh oh…Square Enix is not going to be happy.  Leaked scans from the Japanese magazine Weekly Jump have spoiled the surprise.  It’s ok though, we’ll still act surprised.

The teaser, revealed as Four Warriors of Light: Final Fantasy Gaiden, and will be a Nintendo DS RPG.  The plot to the game is apparently you are a 14 year old boy who has to save a princess who has been kidnapped by an evil witch.  Sounds amazingly Mario-ish.  Except with a boy instead of a midget plumber.

During the game, your party will grow as you meet different characters along the way.  There is no “MP” in the battle system, but has instead been replaced with a “charge” meter next to your standard fight controls.

The game hits Japan this fall.

I know Square might be a little bummed out by the pre-mature release of their big surprise but they can still refuse to acknowledge the leak and still give us the full complimentary characters on the back of the dragon.

Come on Square, don’t be like that.
