THQ To Bring Future UFC Games to Wii and Handhelds

THQ President and CEO Brian Farrell said today in a call that he plans to bring future UFC titles to the Wii and handheld systems.

“Over time, we plan to build our UFC franchise by expanding international sales and by developing games on new platforms such as handhelds and Nintendo Wii,” he said.

No news as to when the next game would launch, but he did say that the game would become an annual launch.

Xbox 360 Gets Madden 10 Demo Early

It seems that Microsoft has landed a deal with EA that will bring the Madden 10 demo to the Xbox 360 a week earlier than before. That’s right, Xbox 360 owners will be able to download the Madden 10 demo on July 23rd, as opposed to July 30th.

The demo will feature (4) 2 minute quarters featuring the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants.

PS3 owners will have to wait until the intended release date of July 30th to play the demo.

Carlos Santana In Guitar Hero 5

Activision has confirmed that Carlos Santana will be featured in the upcoming game Guitar Hero 5.

You’ll be able to play along to ‘No One To Depend On’ from his ‘Santana’ album.

Guitar Hero 5 launches for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 2 and the Nintendo Wii later this year.

Confirmed Release Date For Spyborgs

Capcom has stated that Spyborgs, the upcoming beat-em-up Wii exclusive game will release September 25th.

In Spyborgs, you select two of the three Spyborg characters and use the motion-based Wii-remote to shoot, slash and pummel their way through hordes of mechanized enemies.

MLG Coming to PS3

EA Sports and Major League Gaming are teaming up to bring online competitions for select EA games to the PS3.

“Both online and live competitors in the 2009 EA SPORTS Challenge Series will be competing for cash and prizes totaling $170,000, made possible by Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc.”
