MAG Beta Releasing Soon?

Well, it could all be just a rumor or it could be the complete truth…right now, file it as a rumor, but…Community Team member and Moderator of the English SCEE forums, Yaster, has been busted playing the MAG beta.

More than likely this was supposed to be kept as an internal type thing, expect an announcement on a beta testing sometime in the near future.

Microsoft Vs. Team 17

So, Team 17 is coming out saying that Microsoft’s claims of bribery are completely false concerning the timed exclusivety of Alien Breed: Evolution.  Team 17 boss, Martyn Brown, emphasizes with PS3 owners though, seeing how the game is going to be 360 exclusive.

“I understand that. It’s difficult. Obviously we’d like everything on every platform day one. The LIVE Arcade thing… we get accused of being bribed or we’ve took Microsoft’s money, and it’s all bollocks,”

“The reason is that we’ve got a long relationship with Microsoft’s first party unit. We get on great with them. In exchange for exclusivity we get a lot more promotion. We’ve got a closer deal with them. That’s just how it is. It’s unfortunate. That’s just how we work.”

Brown also pointed out that there are PSN exclusives that 360 gamers can’t get their hands on as well, such as Super Stardust and PAIN.

“They’ve [Sony] got their own exclusives. You look at Super Stardust, which is exclusive to PS3. It works the other way round. For people complaining, at the same time, people on LIVE Arcade can’t play Super Stardust or PAIN or a bunch of titles. It’s just the way the world works really.”

The game is out sometime this fall on the 360.

Gears Of War 2 All Fronts DLC Now Available

Major Nelson has confirmed that the Gears of War 2 Multiplayer Map Pack, Dark Corners, is now available for purchase and download on Xbox Live, as well the All Fronts DLC.

Dark Corners features 7 new multiplayer maps and some bonus deleted single player chapter “Road to Ruin,” where our main characters are navigating the Locust highway.  It is in this chapter where you can go balls to the wall or slink in the darkness.

The 7 maps that are included in the Dark Corners map pack are; War Machine (new), Allfathers Garden (Gears 1), Highway…good battle in the Locust Hollows, Memorial…battle at the Tombs of Unknowns, Firefight…battle in an old motel, Way Station, and Sanctuary.

The DLC will cost you $14.99 or 1200 MS points.

If you want to download both the Dark Corners map pack and the All Fronts DLC, it will run you $19.99 or 1600 MS points.

Halo Legends Posters Are Up

Some Halo Legends posters are out and Kotaku has them for your viewing pleasure.

There is a poster for each studio involved in the animation process.  Nothing else though.

Do they look “cool?”  Eh, we won’t push the envelope that much…but you’ll undoubtedly make up your mind.
