Welcome! This is the official wiispace Pokemon D/P tournament!

Dates

Sign up due date: 18th February

If you wish to enter the tournament you will have to sign up before this due date. To sign up all you simply have to do is post within this thread saying you wish to enter.

Tournament start date: 19th February

Once everyone has signed up I will create the the tables and the first rounds will begin on the 19th.

Rules

Battle style: 6vs6 Pokemon battles

Tournament style: Double elimination style

This means that you have to be defeated two times to be removed from the tournament. When you are defeated once you cannot go for the champion potion but you will battle the other defeated players.

Banned pokemon: All Urbers/Legendary pokemon

Please see the list of banned pokemon at the bottom of this post.

Battle rules:

-Species Clause : You cannot have 2 or more pokemon that are the same on your team (eg you cant have two infernapes)
-Sleep/Freeze Clause : Only 1 Pokemon per team can be frozen or asleep at one time (eg if your gengar puts a pokemon to sleep and they switch out you cannot make another pokemon go to sleep until the other wakes up or is dead)
-OHKO Limit: There is a limit of one One-Hit-Knock-Out move per team.
-No hacked pokemon: Pokemon that have been hacked including pokemon that have been edited using gameReplays and other game editors are banned from the tournament.

If you break any of these rules you will be removed from the tournament

Tournament style
Once everyone has signed up I will create the tables. Then you will have 2 days to contact your opponent and to have your battle. Then you should post here who won and a small description of the battle just so it is interesting for the rest of us.

Once everyone in the round has been completed, those who have won will continue to round 2 and so on. Those who are defeated in the round will go to a elimination round agenst the other defeated players. If you are defeated two times you will be eliminated from the tournament.

If there is a uneven number of players I will not be taking part in the tournament. However I will be the brick wall the champion will have to get passed for the title of Wiispace Pokemon Champion. If this is the case and I win, I will not get the tag or prize and the player will not get the tag but will receive the second place prize.

Prizes

First Prize:

the first prize winner will receive a signature tag saying that you have won a official wiispace pokemon tournament as well as all 12 of the starting pokemon from my pokemeon farm (so you may request custom move sets and natures)

Second Prize:

The second prize winner will get 6 of the starting pokemon of your choice from my pokemeon farm (so you may request custom move sets and natures)

Elimination Champion Prize

For the player who defeats all other defeated players you will receive 3 starter pokemon from my pokemeon farm (so you may request custom move sets and natures)

tournament Fix

Because agrivian3 is silly for not checking his net first before joining

and bball being removed from the tournament because of ;ack of communication I have had to make some major changes to the tournament.

I will not be playing in the tournament any more but will be going back to the original plan as the brick wall the finalist must pass to earn the championship. And so it will be rokrin VS deadpool in the semi finals. The loser of this round will be the forth player in the elimination round.

Because we have to wait for the round 2 loser to start the elimination round there is no hurry but MEGAMAN and mwhp feel free to get your battle out of the way and done A.S.A.P.

tournament Fix 2

Because Rokrin and Deadpool64 cant seem to meet up and play and I am on quite a bit I have changed the finals format.
Now each player will fight me and the winers become our champion and the losers become the second prize winners. This means that there can be Two champions and two second place winners or one of the other.

You have until the end of the 23rd to complete your battles.

You will have two days to contact your opponent and to have your battle. If you have problems please let me know via pm. But here are some general tips:
-If you are both fairly busy pre-book at time for your battle. So arrange a time that you both agree on that you can come on wiispace and meet and battle.
-Use the shout box and pm's to alert members that you can play. If you are on wiispace check the chat box to see if someone is trying to contact you.
-If you did not battle and the due date has passed send me your story why you did not battle and I will decide to ether postpone the round or disqualify a player.

Dont forget to post a small description of the battle to us all so we know how it was! you dont need to name your team if you wish and you should not name pkm in your opponents team unless they say it is ok but it would be good to say things like:
-How long was the battle? short and sweet? or long and bloody?
-How strong was the winning side? How many pkm did he have left?
-What where the states of his pkm that where left? green, yellow or red health?
-Was the win unexpected? did the tide of the battle change suddently?

hmmm well ill prolly be the first or second one to go. but regaurdless ill be there. cuz maybe theres a prize for losers

I'll join, I'll probably lose first one and if I have to battle again I loose again horriblely, but I'll do it.

Loser should get a Level 1 Magikarp.

I've made the executive decision to stop telling people what Pokemon are coming.

EDIT: Just to clarify (because I don't WiFi battle much), does it round your Pokemon up to level 100 for the battles?

Otherwise I'm going to have to level until yesterday.

I don't remember it leveling me up to 100...but I lost my first two battles on WiFi already...So this turnament looks to make that a totally of 0-(3-?)

Yes! your pokemon lvl will all be set to lvl100 along with there stats. This is temporary tho and only takes effect during the online battle.
