don't forget, if your motion sensing isn't working, bang on the wiimote with your palm pretty hard, so you hear a good thump,
i'm serious if you call nintendo and ask about it, they will actually tell you to do this

I had to send in my Wii-mote because the cursor all of the sudden got really jumpy and I couldn't even get into a game because I couldn't even click on the start button... I called them and they told me to re-sync it and make sure the lense cover was free of smudges and fingerprints... after all was tried... it was still broken >.< so I sent it in... I got my remote repaired and it works fine now but some times the cursor flickers... it happens when I sit on a leather chair... could the IR waves be interfered with by the chair?

I don't want to sound patronising but check the angle you are playing.....
Mine goes shakey if I play too far off to one side or sat on the floor- the sensor bar has trouble picking up the signal from "extremes" of left/right/up/down. Right infront of the T.V, swinging/slashing etc at about the height of the screen seems to fix it!!

I actually heard that works if ur wii-mote no longer senses motion. If u hit it hard enough it actually will begin to work.
