True tournament

I believe that at some point we should make our official tournaments to be held either weekly or monthly or a certain day, for example friday, saturday or sunday at relatively good timing. Rather than having multiple tournaments where people must sign up for and do everything multiple times, we can just set it up for that certain day, and make it an official tournament. Of course it would have to be discussed as to what day this would be, but this could be a nice way to have champions of the week, and that sort of thing. Of course I believe that 1v1 tournaments are in fact the best way to test skill, as four vs four tends to be chaotic and possibly more lucky (my opinion here) but I think this is something that could keep people updated and have a sort of ranking system under which brawl does not have. having these weekly tournaments can give pride to those who win it with a chance of a newcomer attempting to dethrone the defending champion. I just think that this would be a fun event that everyone could enjoy, and allow us to label that day as SMASH TOURNAMENT DAY or something like that.

Seems pretty cool! Since WiiSpace is getting flooded with new members that love SSBB we can have a tournament like once a week and like we do a thing to sign up to start them, like Megaman, 2nd week of april, BlueWolf 3rd week of May etc.
Wouldn't that be cool?

I'm confused as to what you are trying to say chouy. Do you mean that a certain person hosts the tournament each week? Cause I just think that we should have one tournament most likely hosted by wiispace or another moderator if he can't do it, create brackets after people sign up, and have that same time each week on the same day so that people will always know when it will be. Either way this will make things far more interesting and create a set semi-official tournament rather than just a random one.

That sounds better than just using different people to host.... have just one do it, or have that person pick someone else if they can't.

Yeah, like each week its a different hoster. but you sign up to be one of the hosters.

I don't think its a good idea even if that is a nice idea. The problem with that is that it wont be official if just people who sign up do that. It'll make it more of just somebody's tournament again rather than the official. Plus setting it all up isn't that easy and when the tournament commences, the person will be responsible for getting all the victories from each bracket, update those brackets, and theres just a whole big process that wouldn't work as well as having someone who does it routinely, and knows what they are doing, so that everything will be smooth and flawless.
