Ok,
I am finally ready to see what games are available and I want to know how do I get to the VC Channel? Do I need to hook up my broadband connection to the Wii? And are the VC games expensive? I really want to get all of the Mario and Donkey Kong games. Thanks for any help you can offer.

ok I'll be happy to help, I have bought 4 so far. Ok the games very in cost anywhere from 500 wii points (100 points=1 doller) and 1200 wii points just from what I've seen. You do need internet to get VC games and other new channels(internet channel, photo channel, ect.). The older the game usually the less it costs, so N64 games cost 1000-1200 points while the NES games cost 500. To buy wii points you can do one of two things: buy a gift card from your local store or use a credit card # right there. you can buy 1000, 2000, or 5000 points at a time, (I think, I havnt bought them in a while). To download a game just press download and wait for mario to get all the coins or you can send the game as a gift. Once you have downloaded the game(s) simply press home and go back to the home menu and smack dab on the center of your screen is what you downloaded. There are also free channels and one not free channel that I reccomend you get immediatly. The internet channel, make sure to get all the free channels and so have fun!
PS: the games I have are pokemon snap(awesome game), super mario 64(self explanitory), LOZ orcarina of time(THE game for 64), and paper mario(The best RPG of all time)

You are gonna need a Wii LAN Adapter or a wireless router to get your Wii online. After that's taken care of it's cake.

they usually range from 5 american dollars to 20 american dollars. u need an internet connection, and there are like 7 free channels out right now that you can get, including one that has free DS demos. there are also many new wiiware games that came out recently, which can range from puzzle games, to the games that initially popped into ur subconscience when u bought ur wii, like Lostwinds.
