Technically you are missing out, because those M-rated games could easily become the best games you've ever played, but we won't get into that.

In the case of third-party games, I'd like to point out games like Splinter Cell: Double Agent. This is a really good game, and plays decently on the Wii; however, up until I saw it at costco today, I didn't even know it was made for a Wii.

I've seen very few third-party Wii games advertised, which is probably related to the limited success of most third-party games. In turn, fewer companies want to MAKE these games because they're under-advertised compared to first party, which leads to less third party games for the Wii, which means the ones we do get are of lesser quality, which means they aren't advertised....the endless cycle continues.
