ok gamecube controls for using items go as follow
these controls work for red/green shells, banana's and the bomb.
hold up and press item button (or let go depending if your already holding the item button) will throw bomb/banana far ahead of you
hold down and press item button (yadayadayada) will throw items backwards
ex. throws red and green shells backwards
