A Little Disappointing at Times

Now, please be advised I am only speaking for myself and the 2100 points I have left. Nintendo has a huge library of potential releases not only from there own systems but from Sega, NEO-GEO, Turbo Graphx, etc. Checking the soon to be released list on wikipedia doesn't show any really decent titles either. I am just wondering has Nintendo sort of given up on the VC? It is not promoted as heavily as I remember it being. Games now come out in groups of 2 or just one. Where are the gems like the Mega Man series, Castlevania III, Mario RPG, etc?
|sf>I know that this was written back in April, but it hasn't left the main page yet. The idea that you believe nothing significant has arrived on the VC from November through April is mind-boggling.

Looking on the list of what came out, significant games that came out during that time in the US:

Super Mario Bros 3 (Nov. 5)
Axelay (Nov. 12)
Pokemon Snap (Dec. 10)
Baseball Stars 2 (Dec. 10)
Donkey Kong Country 3 (Dec. 24)
Bubble Bobble (Dec. 31)
StarTropics (Jan. 7)
Super Street Fighter II (Jan. 21)
Columns III (Feb. 4)
Harvest Moon (Feb. 11)
Fantasy Star II (Feb. 18)
Ninja Gaiden III (Feb. 18)
Kirby 64 (Feb 25)
Yoshi's Cookie (April 7)

I haven't bought all these games on VC (In fact, I've bought three of them for myself and gifted another one.), but they've been significant mainstream titles. Granted, the recent choice of dropping down to three games every two weeks has gotten a bit depressing. Dropping from three VC games to two VC games was bad enough, but NOA has managed to slow game releases to an even more sluggish snail's pace than before.
