There are plenty of reasons to wipe that dust off your DS. It depends on what genres you are into, and your lifestyle.
If you spend many hours on a bus, like me, or get a lot of power surges, like above posters, the system's portable capabilities become attractive. This is sure to get the dust off it faster than a J-cloth and Windex.
If you are into RPGs, the DS is one of the best systems to own. A number of quality titles exist that will fit into either the DS card, or GBA cartridge ports on your little Gameboy buddy.
For more action oriented games try out Castlevania (both games are solid A's) or Children of Mana (a decent B).
Platforming, DS has a few good mario titles to choose from, a fun innovative Kirby game called 'Canvas Curse', and a port of Super Mario World (SNES) for the GBA.
If you are looking at shooters I can vouch for Starfox Command, and the critics will vouch for Contra 4 and Metroid Prime: Hunters.

So whatever you tastes, I'm sure you can find some time for the DS. If you are at home most of the time, and never find your self on the road, maybe the problem isn't the selection of DS games, but your lack of need for a portable system.
