another REALLY good way to get cash is the table trick, buy a huge amount of turnips for a low price, then surround a table with items like the fishing rod and net and when you do this, you can put the turnips on the table, this will prevent them from spoiling, and you can keep them for when ever you want to sell them, preferably a very high price. Technically this is cheating, but people still do it.

Another fruit trick without going to someone's town is to send a villager a letter with your town's fruit in it, and wait til when the next mail time is (about 7am and 5pm) and check your mail. Theres a good chance you received another kind of fruit back. With that fruit, use your axe and chop down a tree, but leave the hole there. Bury the fruit you just received in the mail in that hole, and there will be a lower chance it wont sprout. You can either time travel 4 days ahead, or wait patiently until the tree matures and has all its fruit. When it does get its fruit, do that process again with those 3 new fruits, and keep doing this until you have a lot of trees. Now you can go sell the fruit for 500 bells each.

I knew there was another way to get a foreign fruit. I remember doing that also.

Also you can get the golden axe that will never break. Just use that so you don't have to keep going through them.
