Unfortunately for everyone, Bush is incredibly influential. He is the President of the United States. That automatically brings a ton of authority and influence, and it is stupid that he is not on the list. He influences the lives of countless Americans, vetoes bills that could end wars, affects the lives of people around the world, and seems to enjoy his significant influence. No matter if you dislike the President, it's still hard to argue that he is not one of the most 100 influential people in the world. He obviously is.
It's awesome that Miyamoto is on the list, although it is only the list voted on by the people, and not the 'real' Time 100. Miyamoto and Nintendo deserve the honour because they are helping to change a massive industry through fearless innovation and creativity.
Edit: Contrary to what I just said, Miyamoto is on the 'real' Time 100 list. He's listed under the 'builders and thinkers' category, rather than the 'artists and entertainers' where I looked before. Good for him, and the blurb provided by the famous Fata1ity, does a great job of explaining why Shiggy-son deserves the honour.
