Today was awesome! I was on the radio! Live!
But let me not get ahead of myself...let's start from the beginning. Friday, we dove into more communication mumbo-jumbo--specifically, the radio and it's history. There was some really neat trivia thrown in too, but I feel bad for the credited inventor, Nikola Tesla. Tesla may have invented the radio, but many of his other inventions were cast into the shadows created by Edison and his lightbulb and electrical know-how. Did I mention the guy was in love with a pidgeon? Wacko. I went to bed really early (like 6:00. I'm such a weirdo...).
Anyway, we left early today to go back into the heart of San Francisco, where we were to visit Pirate Cat Radio, an independent public broadcasting station based in San Fran. Remember the album review that I did on Weezer? The one I've been meaning to post but haven't gotten around to? Yeah, they played a few songs from the album, and I got to talk about it. I had an interview of three or so minutes, a question and answer session of how I began writing, what I wanted to write for in the future, what made Weezer so appealing to me, favorite songs and albums by them...very cool. Of course, I wasn't the only one. There were 9 other kids that were chosen. Each talked about their desired group and album. There was Metallica's "Kill 'Em All", MJ's "Off The Wall", Beastie Boys' "Paul's Boutique", and a few others. It was very-very cool =]
I wish I could tell you more of something, but my mind is drawing a blank right now. I've been really tired these past couple days. And my sunburn isn't going away...it really hurts too. Oh well; c'est la vie.
*Rep for guessing blog title's origin? Should be very easy >.>*

Beautiful job, bears. Rep for you ^_^
And no, I haven't used Aftersun. Actually, I very rarely use sunscreen (I live in Florida) and normally don't have this problem. It doesn't hurt now unless I move my shoulders around a bit =/ |
