OK, i'm not bad at smash brothers but i want to get better by playing online, and i think online is more fun anyway, because, well anyone can beat a computer. ive beaten all the single player events, some of the multi-p, completed most of the challenges, beaten the space emissary, beaten classic on intense (after a few continues,
), etc, so im not bad but i think against a human itd be totally different, i think i wouldnt fair so well against a human. so if youre interested, drop your console id thingy or whatever and ill add you and well have a grand old time. because for SOME reason, i cant to that "play with anyone" mode. now they say it is because of all the traffic and blah blah, but if theres so much traffic, how come all those people that make me not able to play, are able to play? how come they dont stab a punching bag for 10-20 mins and then almost throw their wiimotes at the TV out of frustration because they just got thrown back out of WFC and onto the main menu, etc?

It goes in a first come, first serve method. If you get there when there aren't many people, there is enough bandwidth to play, because there are less people on the server. If you're trying to get on when half the world is on, the server can't handle it.
That's why you experience that. And yes, the jump from CPU to human is hard. |

I hate it when people don't know the definition of bandwidth, that's you cornyjohn. Nintendo's bandwidth is virtually unlimited, the processor power on the server is what's limited. Nintendo doesn't have enough servers, they probably have thousands of people on the same server, that would be like thousands of people using your computer at the same time. They should be willing to spend more on better quality servers or just upgrade their current ones. They aren't that expensive anyway.
And I also wanted to mention that I very rarely have a bad brawl online, playing anyone, or playing a friend. I always get other people to play with in less than 5 minutes, which leads me to believe that it also has to do with your connection. I have a super broadband connection, that's wired with the lan adapter. That's what makes me completely satisfied with online play on my wii. The only time I have a laggy match is when I'm playing a friend with a crappy connection, which is rare, because my connection usually makes up for there bad connection, or at least from my side. And I only pay $55 a month for my internet, I'm sure that most of you can pay that, especially if you can spend on a lot of games. I'm glad I got that out of the way. Sorry about my comment being so long, I just had a really bad day yesterday. |
