Just Applied to College, its early i know but my councilor said to go ahead and do it now, all you other seniors should be applying before thanksgiving too i guess. i applied to Pennsylvania School of Culinary Arts, one of the chain schools owned by La' Cordon Bleu schools. i applied for a 84 week program where i would get a Associate of Specialized Technology Degree in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts. Le Cordon Bleu is a respected culinary school so if i get a degree there it will really help me get a good career in the culinary business as a chef. i arranged for a tour so hopefully i can get that soon.

unlike regular colleges this is more a technical school for people in the culinary field so i wont have to take any non culinary classes. no math or english or anything like that :p. i didnt even have to take a ACT or SAT, its not required but i submitted my score anyways. i took the SAT 3 times and the ACT once, i wish i would have known years ago i wouldn't need it:p
if i dont get accepted there (unlikely) i can always go to Kent State, A local school in Ohio that has to accept all residents that apply. they also have a culinary program. (fun fact, hippies were shot by the national guard at Kent State in the 60's)
both schools would cost around the same $, i would eb able to live at home if i went to kent but would have to pay for all my other classes that i wouldnt have to take at la cordon bleu. however if i go to PA ill have to accommodate living. (options: trailer, apartment, dorms) id rather go to PA, less time and more respected degree and no more living with mom and dad!
