Wii Fit 2 month day to day blog
My Wii Fit project has now begun.

I went to wal mart at 8 just to get this frigging thing, and i went to bed at 4:45 AM ...so yeah, im a little grumpy. i come home, plug this thing in, and the wii fit balance board just explains to you what wii fit is all about. now, im an incredibly lazy person, but after fooling around with wiifit for 2 and half hours, i cant stop exercising.
i started off with some yoga, learned deep breathing first off so i could increase my results in yoga poses. i then did the half moon pose, which focuses on stretching and tightening your side abdominal muscles. must say, this was making me breathe pretty hard, and getting my heart beat going...just from stretching. this was my first day to ever do yoga, and now im seeing why its so popular with hippies.
i then worked on some strength training, i did 10 reps of pushups and side flanks and then i worked on my abs with the jackknife excercise. its basically a situp on steroids. after 10 of those babies, i was on the floor in pain haha. ITS A DEEP BURN!!!
i then did the warrior pose, which focuses on your thighs and hips, and balancing your weight between both legs equally. this was very difficult, because i have TERRIBLE balance. in fact, after weighing my self at 175, and seeing how terrible my balance was...im more determined to get my center of balance intact rather then my 10 pound cut in 2 months. and btw, my body test showed me as normal
but im VERY close to being overweight. in my eyes, i AM overweight, so yeah, 10 pounds it is.
i finished it off with a jog in place for 3 mins...and its now 11:50, so im going to go take a jog and ill return later tonite to do some more excercises, and record my BMI and weight for the first time.
11:00 PM
I was a bit busier then i thought i would be, so im having to work out late tonite. i started off with some yoga...cuz im addicted. i did the half crescent moon, the tree, and a new one i unlocked called the standing knee. the tree is the pose the woman is doing on the cover of wii fit. it focuses primarily on stretching your spine and realigning your back, but since your balanced on one leg, it also increases strength in your legs, mainly your thighs.
the standing knee focuses on the flexibility of your thighs. ive come to notice that im stretching before i start these yoga excercies cuz man, i am wound up TIGHT. i gotta admit i feel GREAT after i do these little workouts on wiifit because i can actually feel sensations all over my body because im actually increasing my flexibility and in turn, increasing my strength of muscle.
after that, i did 10 reps of jacknifes again, and my abs are so sore now. after that, i did 6 reps of pushups and flanks. after that, i was feeling a bit achy, so i decided to go for another basic 3 minute run in my room. i pushed my self pretty hard on the run, swinging my arms for more calories to burn, so says wii fit
after that, i finished up with the crescent moon one last time, and called it a night.
took my body test, and ive lost 1.8 pounds today. BUT, wii fit told me that its normal to lose 2 pounds before going to bed, and for a more accurate measure of my weight, to weigh myself tomrrow at the same time i weighed my self in the morning...so yeah, the TRUE results will be yielded tomorrow morning at 11:30 AM
im waking up just to weigh myself...this game is actually putting me on a schedule!!! MIYAMOTA IS A GENIUS!

its been two days since i reported.
i weighed myself the day before at 11:30 and i was correct, i had lost 2.0 lbs. i didnt get to work out today because of work and personal agendas, but while i was at work i would be stretching my muscles every 10 minutes.
i then got off at 11:30, because some butthole customers stayed in till 11:10...when we close at 10...not to mention they got their pizza at 9:50...god
so me and my asst manager go to his crib and pound some brewskis till about 6 AM in the morning. on the way home, i puked driving home out my window, which was awesome.
so i woke up today yeah, 12:00 and mowed the lawn. i worked out at 3:45 until now, i just quit. worked my abs with jackknifes, the half moon and single leg tiwsts. then i worked my legs with lunges, the warrior, and the standing knee. i finished it up with one last half moon pose, because i REALLY like feeling the stretch in my sides.
after 3 days of just 30-60 minute workouts, i feel sore in muscles i didnt even know i had. my legs are actually REALLY tightening up, and i feel tenstion in my clafs and thighs every time i walk. my abs are KILING me at the moment as well. i am going to work my chest tonite.
i took my daily body test, and ive already achieved my 2 week goal in 3 days. so i had to set a new deadline with a new goal...im going to repeat. 3.5 pounds in 2 weeks have to be knocked off my body. my center of balance is nearly perfect after that test, i was .8 percent to the right from having perfect balance. so yeah, already, i have an awareness of my central of balance. my knees almost at all times are flexed, and i keep my upper body posture by flexing my abs constantly.

saturday, the 24th, i will be going out of town until tuesday...so no wiifit to work out with. so instead, i plan to just go jog a mile around the boardwalk where im going every day im there. ill blog when i return.

i guess this is gonna be my last blog entry until tuesday or wednesday. i didnt get off til freakin 1 tonite...so yeah, the only thing i ate today was an apple and a slice of pizza. when i geth ome, i bust out the beans and tostada shells, and made me 2 chalupas. i didnt wanna go to bed with a full stomach, so i decided to work out...even though youre not supposed to eat before you work out...i just chewed my food up REALLY good so it my stomach didnt feel full.
i started off with the halfmoon...cuz yeah, thats my favorite. i got a 78 on it...a new record!
i then did the standing knee....because my thighs are REALLY stiff, i want to get them loosened up, especially since my legs feel as strong as they ever have been since the lunges from earlier today...i feel like my lower body is coming along greatly. my upper body still needs a LOT of work, so i started my strength training with the jacknife, 10 reps. got a 100...a perfect score! but regardless, my abs are STILL killing me on a repitition of 10...so my abs are showing good progress, but im not ready to push my abs to the next level. i then did the pushup and flanks. my chest is coming along pretty nice, i can do a pushup fairly easy now, and my shoulders and arms are feeling slightly heavier then before. my body feels...great in all honesty.
after that, i did the tree...my 2nd attempt. i did pretty good, i didnt even lose my balance...but apparently my balance wasnt good enough, i only scored a 48.
to finish the night up, i kicked it up a notch and did a long distance run. i believe it was a 5-6 minute jog. i was actually breaking a sweat because when you run in place, youre actually controlling your bodys movement with how much you swing your arms. if you can control your momentum, it really works all your leg and arm muscles, and even works your shoulders and abs out the entire time because they flex on and off really fast while running.

its been a full week since ive used wiifit...been busy with work. so yeah, today was my day off, and i decided to go get a major workout by playing basketball in 101 degree heat. played for 2 hours, then went and swimming for about an hour...which was awesome haha. then when nightfall came, we went and played for about 2 more hours. we then swam again for about 20 mins and then we chilled in the hot tub with the ladies and cracked some beers open. pretty good day im pretty sure my next ntry will be about me using wiifit...but yeah, just had to blog this so yall know im stil around

I bought the wii fit at midnight used it for 45 minutes I went through all the yoga poses that were originally unlocked. I unlocked 2 new ones throughout the playing of the game. the pushup yoga is hard but I have read from other wii forums that it does get easier. Got to level 6 on the tilt( thats only 60 points though) Except for the stuff I unlocked I went through all the yoga strength exercoses weight training and balance games. Looking forward to this my goal is at least 20 minutes a day. But Im sure I will use it more than that. keep posting meatwad I'll keep you informed as well

alright guys, if you havent noticed already, i havent blogged on this for like, a month now. ive been real busy with work, and i just got a new puppy...so yeah, ZERO time to blog. so ill just tell you my results now.
starting weight : 178 weight now : 170 just to remind you...i didnt JUST use wiifit, but it was a MAJOR factor in my loss of weight. it actually got me off my ass and moving around a bit...and now that i got a puppy, im actually walking a lot more now, and i go jogging every once in awhile when i have time...wiifit really improved my posture and balance, its nearly perfect now thanks to yoga and not to mention im pretty damn flexible now. sooo yeah, thats it yall. time to start pushin the weights now. |
