If he was insulting you, then you must've traded FCs with you. I don't want to make you angrier here, but it seems it's your fault. I don't know who you played with, or if you knew him or not, but it you traded FCs with a stranger, then yeah, it's your fault. People will be d!cks, but you should get ot know the person before you play. Don't let one person ruin it for you.

It's your choice if you sell Brawl or not, but I think that's a bad move. You obviously love the game, and you shouildn't let one bad experience ruin if for you.

If they spam a move, it should be fairly easy to counter it. And if you traded FC's with him, that DOES make it your fault. Play with people that dont spam and that you can have an enjoyable match with.

I didn't trade codes with the guy. He was part of a game that was already in progress that I joined in. I used this as a chance to add him without registering his fc. To bad I didn't no he would be so....well, ya know. Also, I may agree with you if this was the first time it happened. It happens alot, so much so that it seems like there are more spammers than players with talent. Even if I'm very strict about who I add I could still run into them. And it's not like people play brawl as much anymore. My list of active friends seems empty more often than not. Not to mention the game seems to have gotten so hypercompetitive that it's hard to actually enjoy the game anymore. I really seem to get frustrated with the game more often than I enjoy it. This is about the third time I have concidered quiting for good, I just figure it's time to get it over with. So it's not like this is spur of the moment, I've been thinking this for a while. This is the last straw, not the first one.
Oh, and ps, I fail at countering spamming. I just can never figure out how to do it even if I practice.

As far as I know, you can only add friends via friend codes. The only game that allows 1-click adding is the Conduit, and that must be a friend of an existing friend.

Well I don't know what to say to that, maybe he fooled me and seemed nice. At any rate, I've gotten angry at that game alot so I think for the sake of my sanity I should stop.

Just try and hook up with a clan or somethin'. That way, you could play people that care about skill, and not just spam. And you have to expect spam, if you're just signing on to matches with random people. Besides, you're not truly good at Brawl till you can beat spammers 60% of the time. Just something to strive for.

It was a battle with a friend superhero, not random. He just wasn't a friend worth keeping. And I go a bit crazy when fighting spammers so I can never focus well against them. And I am in a clan fyi. But from my experiences even if you only play with friends you may still find some people who spam. It's an unavoidable curse.
I'm really sorry ^_^, I just feel like brawl stresses me out too much for my own good. There may be a time when I can bare to play the game again (in which case I could always pick up a used copy) but don't expect that in the near future.

AH,yes I have a problem with spammers too,but lately they have called it competitive play,witch basically is like something that makes noobs look good.:/

lol SuperHero they're spammers. they DONT fight fair you could be the best damn brawler in the world and still lose especially if they get u cornered & especially in Street Fighter...

and being a step ahead is alot harder than it sounds (easier said than done). the trick is that u have to out smart them which can be kind of tricky for some...

This is one of the reasons why I don't play games online. That 1% of humanity, like in everything else, ruins it all for the other 99%.

Just a suggestion, but from now on, stick to games that don't allow you to get tangled up with others that might have ill will with video games.
