Alright seeing how I will be releasing 1 hour Sets each week here on Wiispace I may as well speak on how I became a DJ then left for a few years then got back into it.

All Started 4 years ago.

Was my Junior year at highschool when I found the Genre of Trance and Techno. Was listening to a Radiostation where they were doing a 1 hour set of some Artists. First one that came on was Tiesto's Traffic. Needless to say after I heard Traffic I was hooked. I started picking up Trance and techno albums up like crazy. As I was listening to them I thought I could make some of this stuff or at least make Compilation Sets. And that is where I began my journey into becoming a DJ. I started by making a few simple tracks that became sets. I got good enough to make my own tracks and I was getting good. I played at a few parties for my class. (good ole senior party at the end of the year)

But during that time I let go of DJing for pursuit into a different line of work in Electronics. I never coined a DJ name for myself while in school since I couldn't come up with one I liked. I started working for Radioshack and that lasted for 2 years. During my stay there My Assistant Manager was a DJ. She didn't do Trance or electronica because in the area we live there isn't much demand for that. But it kept the DJ in me alive but not active.

2 months ago.

2 Months ago is when I really got back into the Trance and electronic Scene. I started to listen to it more and was memorizing where I would put spikes in base and treble. Where to do reverbs and where to put in breaks.

So it took me a month to finally say I am going back to DJing. And that is when I coined the name DJ Lantis



I am back working on trance mixes and I am doing a Weekly set hopefully each week and I will release them here on Wiispace. I am also working on My First Album since Returning. Hope to keep you all informed and check my Trance Mix thread for any updates or new mixes.
