Computer Backlight Problems.

Well my computer's backlight sort of went dead so it's basically unusable. I don't know when I will get it fixed but I won't be active at all.

if you have a spare monitor you could hook that up to it...

I don't have a spare monitor and the computer I use is a laptop so even if I did, I don't think I have the right cables to hook it up.

All you need is a monitor plug (which is attached to the monitor most likely.) Then you just push the button on your laptop that has a computer, a slash ( / ) and a box (most likely have to hit FN. On my netbook it's an FN+F5 combination. That switches the output to an external monitor. I had the same problem with my old laptop, so I went out and bought an HP 15" monitor for like $100
