Well it was short enough as it was but I made it even shorter. I've been backpacking up in the upper peninsula of Michigan on Grand Island for the past few days. We traveled 9 miles on the first day, 9 on the second, and 3.5 on the final day. Remember that was with about 45 pounds of equipment on our backs. It was tiring but definitely worth the walk. There were huge cliffs along the way that were up to 150 ft at certain areas. Also we encountered 2 bears this trip running around wild. The first bear was nothing to special but the second bear was running along the beach and as soon as we thought it was gone it came running out right in front of us probably about 15 ft ahead of us. This trip was actually quite nice because there were campsites unlike last year where you just find a spot out in the middle of the woods. I had to take a bath in the lake to wash my hair and stuff and it did really feel just great.

There was a picture of one of the cliffs and it was pretty neat standing on the edge. Backpacking is hard work but definitely worth it.
