Wiispace Pokemon Trainers Guild Clan (PTG)

This is the (temporary) sign up thread for the Wiispace Pokemon Trainers Guild Clan (PTG), started by myself.

I will ask that this thread be moved to Clan Recruiting as soon as it is available again.

Clan business will include talking about Pokeymans, fighting pokeymans, and trading pokeymans with other people. I will be promoting 2 sub-leaders and a Clan Event Manager under myself.

The clan Heirarchy will go like this...

Leaders are Rokrin, Bluewarwolf, And Bega Man. BeGa Man is also the Event Manager, meaning that he is in charge of tournaments and similar events.

Below this, there really is no ranking system. We aren't handing out gimmick-ey codenames or anything. If you want to run around your school calling yourself mewtwo because you got into a pokemon clan, go for it. Just not here. This clan is for people that like to play pokemon, not for people that have erotic fantasies about them. Which is to say, if you watch no other anime at all and start bragging to me about your pokemon over ridiculous trivialities like how you spent 8000 hours getting a Black Rayqaza, I'm going to have to kill you in a most painful way.


OOOKKK, now, while they have no actually meaning on the rank system, each person will be handed a Clan Icon as a sort of status report on their activity in the clan.


Pokeball will be used for people who have just started.


People who have participated in at least 1 clan trade or have won at least one clan battle will be given a Great Ball icon.


The Ultra Ball will be handed to anyone that participates in 5 clan trades, wins at least 3 clan battles, or wins 1 clan tournament.


The Master Ball will be given as the highest standard rank. It comes from participating in at least 10 clan trades, winning 5 clan battles, or winning 2 clan tournaments.


The Premium Ball (also called Premier Ball) will be given as a sort of secondary prize to anyone who wins in a Clan Tournament. Note, it is going to be shown with and not in place of the normal pokeball rank. It marks that someone has won a Clan Event, which oftentimes people even with the UltraBall or Master ball have not done.

The Clan Event Manager will be given his/her choice of all the secondary pokeball types (Net ball, Nest ball, timer ball ect.) when they are selected.


The Golden Pokeball will be a rank held by only myself and the 2 other leaders of the Clan.


Now, notice that I said there were no rankings and then posted these. What I mean is, these exist only as a status symbol and a token to merit respect among other clan members. There are no clan activities that will be restricted to longer standing members.



Now, onto other business.

On occasion, there will be a clan tournament. These will NOT be free rules tournaments. At first, for people who are newer, they will have a certain level limit set on them as a means of increasing participation from newer players. I think our very first tournament will involve a level 10 limit. This CAN involve bred pokemon that are normally caught at a high level. The winner of this tournament will be given both a Premier Ball (in the clan 'rankings').

Aside from that, me and the Even Manager will be giving a free pokemon (never revealed until the tournament has been won) to the person who wins the tournament. This will always be a pokemon that is hard to get in Daimond/Pearl, often requiring National Dex (making it very worthwhile for the less experienced players to give it a try).

As a teaser, I will reveal that the very first one will be a Dratini, an Evee, or a Ditto.

This thread itself is to be used only for clan signups. Clan events will be managed in other threads in the Anime subforum, since pretty much everyone that uses it will be in the clan, and it means we will get more frequent visits from our users since it is a more practical subforum to go to.


The final piece of clan business is the method of signups.

NO ONE will be denied entry to the clan if they like Pokemon. If they don't have Diamond and Pearl, it doesn't matter. There may be a few exceptions to this, but only the people I find intolerable will be denied. I mean, people so annoying they need to be banned. For those who remember him, Spartan 221 is a good example.

When post here, just list this information and I will put you into the Clan roster.

The rest will be given only if you own Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.

Friend Code: (Don't just say its in your signature or something. People change their signatures over time. Repost your friend code here. Those who do not comply will be called idiots)

Once you send in your application, don't bother waiting for a response, just go ahead and put the pokeball into your signature.


As a last note, the use of a Game Shark or Action Replay to make pokemon easier to get for ANY form of clan use is abso-friggin-lutely prohibited. If we find out you are using any sort of cheats (including duplication) to make it easier to trade or fight, you will be removed from that clan and never allowed re-entry.

Backing up saves in case some game destroying thing happens is no problem at all. Even if you use it so that you can switch between two files on one game, I have no problem with that.

What is prohibited is using action replay or a gameshark to cheat. if you use it to give yourself a pokemon without the trouble of catching it, if you use it to duplicate a pokemon or an item... that is when we have a problem.

That's good, because seriously, it would have saved me a lot of time last night if I had backed up my save ahead of time before going into that stupid cave.

And I totally agree. Not only is cheating completely stupid (seriously, who needs to cheat at pokemon?), but it leads to nasty bits of hacked and corrupted pokemon. And that just messes stuff up beyond recognition.

Why You Want to Join: I've been a fan of Pokemon ever since I played Gold for the first time and caught Raikou before I beat Morty. He made the game a little too easy, but it inspired me to get and beat every game (portable RPG versions, I hate the Mystery Dungeon spin-offs) that comes out. I also never evolved my first Cyndaquil. I duplicated it (glitch that I don't remember) and evolved the clone, but my Elite 4 party now in it still contains my lvl 100 Cyndaquil!

I missed whatever you edited out, but I'm glad we sorted out whatever it was. If I did anything to give you the impression that at some point, I did not like you, I'm deeply sorry.


EDIT: Does anyone else here regularly visit the Pokemon GTS site? I find it's useful to find out which pokemon are in demand and which aren't.
