DS Review: Meteos
Meteos Review
Nintendo DS ![]() Meteos is a great addicting game that can be played over and over without feeling repetitive. Although falling blocks from the sky doesn't seem that exciting, you'll be surprised when you see how intense some of the matches in Meteos are. Presentation: With interactive movable menus and everything, the presentation of this game is nice, simple, and clean. The game allows the option for both left and right handed play to make sure everyone can enjoy the game. Audio: With 32 different planets and a audio soundtrack to go with them each, Meteos doesn't hold back with the music. The pace of the music will change depending on how your game is going, whether is smooth or intense. In fact nearly everytime you perform an action on the screen during a match you'll hear a sound effect to accompany the music. Graphics: There's only so much a Nintendo DS can do, and especially for a game like Meteos. Therefore there is a lot of beautiful artwork in the game associated with each planet, and each planet has its individual Meteos that are nice and colorful to look at. Gameplay: You will most likely never get bored with this game. In fact when you get bored, pick up this game, you wont be disappointed even if it's for a quick 5 minute play. There's just something satisfying about launching metric tons of Meteos at other planets and destroying them by getting the Meteos 1 inch higher than the imaginary red line across the top of their world. Multiplayer: If you're tired of playing against a computer, go ahead and battle with up to 4 people total. The strategies that can take place can almost make it feel like a war game. The multiplayer includes team battle and free for all. Overall this game is a great pickup, a must have in your collection. If you can't decide between normal Meteos and Meteos Disney Magic, go for the normal one you wont regret it. This game gets a 9.0/10 Last edited by Reeg; 02-11-2008 at 11:17 PM. |

Seems a little late to be reviewing Meteos, but it is better late than never. I love that game. I have owned it for over a year and still get a kick out of it each time that I play it. If you have a DS this is a must buy. The best thing--I feel--is that you don't need multiple cartridges, so you and your friends can get right to battling. Plus, these days Meteos is really cheap.
