i still think that rule is dumb -_- its the only thing holdong me back from atom and me being in the hall of fame its dumb how even if i say 1 atom you can just add a whole bunch more :/ and would that atom really kill you? techniquelly that atom would no longer exist after its split so its not the atom that kills you :|

If I break a bat in half and kill you with one of the halves, I still killed you with the bat. Thevinh made the rules, and there are a lot of things that can't kill without the aid of other things, so there would be a lot of people in the hall of fame. Like a hair, you can't kill someone with just a hair and nothing else. That's probably why it was suggested, but with the current rules it can kill and so can almost everything else, the exception is my suggestion the photon, which is what I was talking to ownage about. Hydrallics, if you read the whole thread you'd understand a little more, and I know it's 20 pages, but you can learn a lot of different ways to kill people.

yes i would agree an atom cant kill if it were like the bat analogy but in this case once the atom splits and transfers its energy to another atom then you wouldnt be killing with that atom its like you took a baseball split it in two took some yarn out and gave it to another baseball then you took that baseball split it into and took some yarn out plus the yarn you took form the other one and added it to another baseball and so on and so on many many times. in this case yarn would be parts of the nucleus of an atom you would no longer be killing with that first baseball but the instead the baseball at the end that ends up being huge

If you think about it that way then nothing can kill, because even if you shoot someone, the gun or bullet won't be what kills the person, the loss of blood or oxygen to the brain is what'll kill. Which is why I assumed that as long as it's what caused the death, and by that I mean it was involved, it would be what killed the person. Thevinh would easily agree to that, because it's true. An atom splitting would be what started the chain reaction, so it would be the thing that killed, without it the chain reaction wouldn't have started.

im not saying thats how everything that kills works im just saying that how atoms work they split send neutrons to other atom split send neutrons to other atom split so when it comes time that its ready to kill then the first atom will no longer be the atom that kills

As long as the one atom is the cause of the explosion, it would be the one responsible. If the atom being split didn't affect the explosion then it wouldn't be involved, and it wouldn't be the thing that killed you. But because it was what started everything, the atom would be the thing that killed you.

The point of this is that an atom can kill, and that a photon can't.

Because you can't choose the situation, you should be trying to come up with something new, and leave the atom behind. The atom was the first thing that came to mind when I first saw this game posted, but I didn't really feel like playing back then, so I just waited to see what everyone else would think of. I'm going to try to think of something new before I go to sleep, like I always do, but I've been having really bad headaches lately, so I don't expect to find anything else. And if you have nothing else against a PHOTON, then I win.
