Very True...in fact because of the lack of internet and especially third party support, this is when Nintendo started getting their "baby gamer" image and Xbox and PS2 was for the "hardcore" gamer.
I for one loved my gamecube - playing Luigi's Mansion and Star Wars blew me away...and I used to get so frustrated when I saw PS2 games with crappy graphics getting better sell than Nintendo.
However, Nintendo has the last laugh...Wii is beating them all!
