i agree!!! if people want to play blue-ray movies, better getting a blue-ray player that is specifically designed with optimized qualitys. all for wii !!!!

i don't mind because we have a 4 port switcher, so u can have GC and ps2 pluged in and when u want to use the other just press a button

I've never had any truble playing dvd's on my PS2, never failed for me. But yeah your right, consoles should only have one purpose, to game . But now the consoles are pretty much turning into really bad ripoffs of pcs.

i dissagree because a console is a home-entertainment system so having a dvd player in them allows you to save space and have less wires. Also save money

i have to disagree with tom because all of my game consoles have been ether right under or a short walk away from a dvd player (because they where on the family tvs) so i dont need a dvd player on the console. so dvd players on consoles should be optional which what the wii is doing
