The DS is durable also, I once dropped it out of the car into a puddle of water and once down the stairs.

My old Gamecube (Which I got when it came out) was in perfect condition so I traded it to a friend last year for 7 games. Then I won another GC in a Dairy Queen promotion and so far I've had no troubles with it either. The only problem I have is a disc read error when I try to play Melee, but that's because my brother scratched it up. BTW--Cleaning the disc with toothpaste worked exceptionally well!

(1). Nintendo did not set that GameCube on fire, contrary to the title.
(2). The 'Cube melted and was unusable. Therefore that doesn't prove it was durable. (3). They say it was "broken beyond repair" anyway. I do agree that if they had some G.I. Joes that the XBox 360 would be the fortress and the GameCube would be a mobile base.
