re4 pwns. its not as much survival horror, its more of a shoot em up kinda game IMO...nothin really that scary in the game. im a huge RE fan, and as much as i liked re4, i wish they wouldve made it a lot scarier...like the gamecube version of RE1.

I recommend the Gamecube version. RE4 is the epitome of survival orror. I love it. It is a fabulous game and it may not have the chilling atmosphere of RE, but it more than makes up for it. GET IT
!

Hmm ... let's analyze this statement. Survival ... as in making it a struggle. Difficult even. Well, there is nothing hard about surviving a situation when everything from the crazy spaniards with pitch forks to the freakin crows that sat in trees happened to have a box of 10 bullets for your .45 . Why isn't that convenient. Not only that, but they all also dropped money (including the birds ) so that you can go buy bigger, better weapons, or upgrade the ones you have from some random British dude, that just happened to be in multiple locations, before you got there ( even after shot and killed.) Oh and not only that, but every boss died from one shot of an RPG, which was readily available to you, for 30,000 pesetas, which sounds like a lot, but when the wildlife is carrying a chest with gold, it's really no big deal. Horror ... well I wasn't scared once in the game. I mean, I saw everything that was coming. They pretty much gave me all the ammo and guns to take them out anyways. There wasn't anything to be afraid of. Especially since about half the game is played in daylight. And the monsters ... well they were just screaming and cursing in spanish. Yeah, I was shaking in my boots.
