Guitar Hero 5 is finally featuring song importing from the previous
Guitar Hero titles, and today Activision
detailed the process.
It should be noted that any of the previous GH games' songs can be imported.
The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions you'll need to download an update enabling imports. This will be followed by a "normal re-licensing fee" to rip the songs from each disc. These ripped songs will be stored on you harddrive.
On the Wii, the process stays relatively the same, except for the fact that the Wii has no harddrive. Songs will have to be re-downloaded to either an SD card or the Wii's internal memory, which won't hold much if you have an entire library of songs.
Either way, songs will be updated to include all the amenities that GH5 has to offer.
Another note, there are 158 songs released on the GH games, only 152 can be imported though.
