Halo 3 noob questions

So I'm borrowing Halo 3, and have some questions.

1. Can I play a career co-op online?

2. Do I still get the achievements?

3. If I start a co-op career online, can I finish it solo (say the other player is out of town etc.)?

4. If I start a co-op career online with 2 players, can I add a third player halfway into the game? -Will I still get the achievements?

1Yes you can play co op online with up to 4 players but it can be laggy if your friends have crappy connections.

2 Yes you still get achievements

3Yes you can finish playing solo

4 Yes, when you play co op you don't go into it as the beginning, well you can but you can just get 4 people together whenever you want to play whatever level.
