i would be really impressed if you managed to get 12 people together at the same time to get the race finished. I had difficulties getting specific people together for a FFA in brawl and people are even having problems setting up 1v1s which is really sad.

mariokart is alot easier to handle online games for friends and anyone, i think it would work.

Well like I said, we'll probably allow 2 absences and take away everyone's two lowest scores. I will probably NOT allow anyone to drop the last weeks score that way everyone will know exactly how well they need to perform to achieve the best possible final ranking. I don't think it's hard to say to your parents or your spouse, "Hey, I'm joining a MK Wii league that plays every Tuesday at 8:00 EST just to let you know." Since it's at the same time each week and with the SAME people each week I do not think it will be hard to get together, you know where to be and at what time BEFORE the league even starts. It will always be Tuesday night at 8:00 EST. If you can't meet at that time don't join, it's that simple.

I have a question for those of you that have played in friend matches. When you play against friends how does MK do points? Does it give points or only ranking points? Can you customize what it does? If not I will come up with a score sheet to use to keep track of what place each racer gets in each race but we will use the point system that MK uses in grand prix mode to determine the weekly placeings.

looks like a lot of fun, and nicely organized. If it was thursday nights i'd be in, but i can only do about half of the tuesday nights. If this one works out, perhaps do another one after this one is finished on a different night.

When playing friends online in a room it just does the normal Grand Prix points system and doesnt affect your online rating which is pretty good really if you're just having a laugh. Will be good if can sort out a way to monitor the league tho!

Will it use the Grand Prix point system for as many races as you want, in this case 16 races? If it can it will make things alot simpler for my scorekeeping
Also, does one person decide the next course or is it voted on?

I've added Yani and Wii_4_PE. Was not able to get online last night to add the others. Will attempt to do so tonight. I'd rather do an eight race a week as opposed to 16. Then we can do a Mushroom/Shell, Flower/Banana, Star/Leaf, Special/Lightning Set for the first 4 weeks, then mix it up via voting...or something.

I'd have to time how long 16 Races take though...hrmm....3 minute or so per race, plus 15 min total set up time....would be around an hour. Eh, I should be able to do 16, but I feel that we certainly should do an all All Retro/All New no more then the first two and last two weeks. Oh, and the Last Race of the Season, Must Must Must be Rainbow Road.

So, my ideal schedule for 16 Races: --M=Mushroom Sh= shell....you get the idea

I'd say we just run the courses in order per cup. Should not be any voting involved. Anyone not following proper order (if we do vote) should be penalized a point :-P.

We should set up a 10 minute time for everyone to arrive, those arriving after the first race will just be counted as having 0 points for that race.
