Yes, sorry you missed this tourney but not to fear, there's two new tourneys coming in September. I'll go ahead and tell you guys about the format:

Beginner League
Must use a Kart (No Motorcycles), Wiiwheel, and use Automatic Transmission. This league would be aimed towards those of us who don't play 10 hours a week and still want to have a competitive competition. This league is open to anyone and is purely for fun. 12 week league.

Golden Wheel League
Must use a Kart (No Motorcycles) with a Wiiwheel but can use any transmission. This league is only for those who use the Wiiwheel. There's alot of us that enjoy using the wheel but know we would probably race better with the nunchuck and a motorcycle but it's not as fun. This league is open to VIP members only as the winner will recieve 2000 Wiipoints. 12 week league.

Okay, so when you say you have to use a WiiWheel, how can you tell? I'm renting MKW right now, and I just use my wiimote, not a nunchuck. =/

Also, do just a certain amount of people sign up for the beginner league? Or can anyone sign up so it's not really exclusive? I've been thinking that I should probably buy this game, instead of keep renting it. xD And this sounds fun, I just want all the info before I decide to buy it.

Each league will be open to the first 12 spots to fill. So 12 person MAX. Also, the league will be at a set weekly time such as 8:00 pm EST every wednesday or something like that. So you must comit to being there 10 out of the 12 weeks and MUST make the Final week as it is not a droppable week (you get to drop your two lowest scores from the 1st eleven weeks or absences).

You can tell someone is using a wiiwheel by the icon that shows up while racing and I trust everyone that signs up to be honest. I'm going this route b/c I think it's more ballenced for everyone to use a wiiwheel.

Is the icon the wheel? And some people have a golden one, others have white, and some have none?

Because I have a golden one, yet I'm not using a wheel?

Well if your only using the wiimote then it thinks your using a wiiwheel, theres no difference other than a plastic casing. The golden wheel means you use a wheel most of the time.

So can I call a spot for the next one? Or you going to deal that when it comes? Who decides which league a person goes to? By choice or you decide? I want to get on the next one so let me know how you plan to do this.
By the way this is my twentieth post the hard way. NO cheap posts to build it up like some others I see around here.

Well you decide which one to be in but if I were you I'd join the one that rewards 2000 wiipoints to the winner since your a VIP I think what I'll do is PM you guys a little before I post the sign-ups to give yall a heads-up. Make sure you check the weekly time of each circuit to make sure it fits your schedule before signing up for it.
