It's a lot easier if you put a limit on the number that can sign up. The best numbers to use are 8, 16, 32, 64, etc. Those numbers are the ones that come out even so you won't have a bye in your tournament. Just be sure not to make it too big where nobody signs up.

k well i think we shud have 2 groups of 8 and the top 4 of each group would get to advance to the final series and race 4 courses with the one with the highest score wins but cud everyone get on at the sametime to work or will we have to play with fewer karts in the races

If it was a brawl tournament then it would be better if it was around 40 or how ever many sign up, like the current tournament. It would have much more success that way, and it'll allow for those that didn't make the deadline for the current tournament to get to be in this one. Too bad it isn't a brawl tourney.
