Cheat!?!?!

ok WTF ive seen TONS of people do this but i dont know how or what they do. so what happens is on any course they fall and they completely skip the whole thing where you get taken up and stuff. its like they never even fell!! does anyone know about this?

regardless, if your staying on the course why would you even need this cheat, I mean how often do you fall off the course?

for me, very, very often. Especially on rainbow road and the volcanoe.

I've seen this occur once or twice playing against people with a lousy connection. The game assumes the character continued in a straight line , or curve, whatever right off the edge of a cliff because it did not receive an update yet due to lag. So you "see" the character fall off, but in reality he did avoid a pit death, and when he magically teleports back onto the track the game received an update from him and placed him back where he was supposed to be. I suppose the possibility of hacking is there, but this to me is the most likely explanation. I found that those who have lousy connections also have higher scores, simply because shells fired at said lagging player tend to miss far more often then they should (even red shells I've seen miss and hit a wall). They also don't get bumped by other players as often either....so, lagging seems to be a bit of a bonus in this game :-P.
