Can Someone Tell Me How A MKW Tournament Works?

Hey, Ive only just got the game and ive just signed up to wiispace but ive seen tournament threads and im just wondering how they work.

Is it like an official MKW tournament made up by nintendo? or is it an organized one by other people?

Also, can anyone give me any dates for MKW tournaments that are coming up.

They're organized by members of Wiispace. Everything about them is totally decided by the creator, so you'll have to read what was posted to see how they work.
