Well the title suggests itself.
First of all I shouldn't have started with Auto and should have gone straight to manual. These days I still drive auto but think to get my full potential I need to access the power of mini turbos... Now with auto you can basically turn from anywhere but I think with manual you need a kind of race line...like when I turn should I go from a wide point or should I stay close to the corner and on the inside when I turn. I've tried numerous times but I find myself hitting walls or running off the track. I need to master this quick because if I try and try again and fail I won't know how to drive auto.... Anyway I want tips on turning angles, when to turn and stuff like that. Anything will be taken into account. I only use In drifts and bikes. Open to any bike and in drift suggestions. I only use da Wii Wheel cause I am driving auto and then it's just fun. When I drive manual I plan to use a classic controller or mote/chuck. UPDATE (3hrs after post): I have just tried out Peach on Mach Bike and I only had one problem...at Moo Moo Meadows.....anyway I unlocked some expert staffs on some tracks but I can safely say I've improved....somewhat. Anymore tips will still be appreciated. Thanks in advance. ![]()

Well first of all, it all depends on whether you use a kart or bike, as they are very different in manual driving. It also depends on exactly which kart or bike you use, as they all function a little differently. I personally prefer a bike with a low drift rating, such as the bowser bike or dolphin dasher, they can make tighter turns than other bikes. As for the art of driving manual, you have to get use to a particular bike and practice with it. Theres so much variety in this game and each vehicle is a little different. For me, making turns is just an instinct, you have to know when the time is right to start the drift, and with practice, you can get very good at that. I would recommend time trialing a few different bikes or karts and see which ones you like then go from there. Oh, and another thing, I noticed you use the wii wheel when you drive. I find it a lot easier to use the wiimote and nunchuk combination for driving manual, but that's just me.

Okay...ummm well I can say that I struggled at Rainbow Road but everywhere else I was okay. Anyways after I did a few races on Wi-Fi I could probably feel that manual might have been more consistent....but no real major difference...I would still love so more tips cause if I get even a bit better it might show better race times.

) my advice is that, if your using a kart you gotta turn wide, there are a few bikes where your gonna have to turn wide as well, but for the most part sticking to the inside of the course is whats gonna save you the whole race. Just my inside opinion.then again, i havent played kart for 2 weeks ;/
