weird thing was i was doing the mirrior mode special cup. and i was in first for atleast 1 full lap, and as a matter of fact i was actualy a good 10 feet ahead of #2. but not even thinking as soon as i got it i shot it off, and a mili second later im like "oh wait, WTF?!!?!?!?"

although this now makes me wonder if someone in first could snag a bullet?

Bullets only take u so far, like usually to 4th or second place to ensure u don't get too far in the lead. But if sum1 in 1st got a gold mushroom...... that would be a different story.

funny thing about that i was playin online at peach gardens the race just started and i was close to last place i got an item box and i was already in front so when the box stopped it stopped on a golden mushroom and I was dusten them all and i laughed evily.

the bullet has pulled me from 12th to the top 3 plenty of times.

Well I've seen a person get from 12th to 1st. My friend doesn't know how to do a boost start and started from 12th. At the first item blocks picked up a bullet shipped him into first...its so annoying sometimes...
Also sometimes if I don't get the best start I hold my Golden Mushroom and get to 1st-3rd and use it then which breaks me between the field and I.
