Lost Magic

Lost Magic is a ds game where you are a Isaac Lightbrad, who is the son of the Sage of Light, and you live with the an elderly woman after your father was defeated by the Diva of the Twilight. As you are Isaac you must save the world from the Diva of the Twilight while learning new magic from the other Sages. There are six magic types of magic and you will learn new runes for new spell as you progress through the game. As you learn new spells you will level up like in usual RPGs and will be able to level up your monster and items too.
Plot: The plot is centered around you and your quest trying to save the world from the Twilight Diva. Along the way you will encounter many friends that will help you along the way, and you will be able to capture monsters and use them to help you in your battles. There are multiple endings in the game which can result in disaster or saving the world based upon desicions in the game through in text questions.
Gameplay: The gameplay is, in order to cast a spell you will draw runes to activate spells to use on enemies or help your team out while you are battling other monsters.. You monsters that you capture are used in an RTS fashion and you can control them to all attack one moster or seperate them up to your likeing. The game features a left handed option which is useful for southpaws.
Graphics: The graphics are relativley good for the most part, though they aren't 3D. When you use bigger looking spell they will look shotty which doesn't really effect the gameplay. Other wise the graphics are fine.
Sound: The sound is great on it even though it doesn't have voice overs. It doensn't have the LoZ sounddtrack but it has its own array of impressive music. Although there aren't any voice overs the spells have a sound effect so you can imagine you are actually shooting out a giant fireball.
Extra Features: The game supports local wireless play which allows you to battle against friends to see who is the better sage. You can choose to play as Isaac or any of the other six sages. It also has single card play which allows another person to play a demo of the game. Lost Magic also sports wifi play where you battle people around the world with your aresenal of nearly 400 unlockable spells. There is a scoring system starting you off with 2000 points and you can either gain them by winning and being able to rise to 3000, or losing them and you can sink all the way to a low 1000. Also in wifi you can battle against friends to show off your new spell you learned or compete against a rival from any where in the world.
Replay Value: Since Lost Magic has four endings it has some replay value but not much. Even though the begginings are the same the endings differ. The game will also have you replaying to level up Isaac and you crew to max there stats and to try out new spells. With the addition of wifi it has even more replay so you can show off your dominance in the game to anyone in the world.
Overall Review: Over all I give Lost Magic a 7.5/10. I think it is a terrific game where you can bash enemies with almost 400 spells to use. The story is good and the replay value will give you a couple of hours extra to unlock all the spells and see all the endings. If you are looking for a DS game I recommend Lost Magic for any one with a love for Magic and Real Time Strategy and for a good wifi game, even if you opponents turn off the power win thy lose.
