Forza Motorsport 2 is one of the best racing titles to come out on any platform. You start out with a cheap car and for most of your career can just take a car that you won and race next race series. So by the time you need to buy your first car. You'll have a lot of money saved up so you can make it really powerful and have great handling.
One complaint about Forza Motorsport 2, would be handling overall. Even some arcade type racing games have had better handling then this game. Good sides to Forza Motorsport 2, would have to be telemetry, upgrading engines, and overall design. The telemetry function in Forza Motorsport 2 is amazing. You can check out your cars tire friction, shocks movement, the g's your car is making, also can check out the difference in how fast your tire that gets the power moves compared to the other tires. I can't emphasize how cool this is.
Upgrading engines is actually correct. If your a car guy/gal you know that people will switch engines to get more horsepower. Besides getting more horsepower, you have to have a engine that fits your engine bay. All the motor swaps in Forza Motorsport 2 are correct swaps that are possible, though some easier then others. Overall design of the games is amazing. The layout to pick which car you want in your garage. The menu you navigate to pick garage, buy car, tune car, paint car, race. It's one of the cleanest and easiest menus out there.
One last thing the leveling in Forza Motorsport 2 is extremely intricate. It recognizes what class your car is and decides the required points to go to next level for you car. The leveling for your career overall is done very nicely if you go up in order of the racing events, leveling can be done very quickly.
Overall a great racing title, That I highly recommend to other car fans out there.
