Actually, Satanists do not really believe in Satan. In fact, we are pretty much just elitist atheists. We just use him name as a metaphor for man's basic needs such as sex and other pleasures that are condemned by almost all branches of Christianity. We took the name because his name in Hebrew means "the opposer" and our beliefs and philosophies are the polar opposite of those of the Christians, so it seems appropriate.
