These random laws are pretty much useless anyways, because nobody cares enough to enforce them :P. The fact that they exist though, is pretty entertaining.

But if you got some kind of noticable punishment on XBL for cussing and using quote and unquote "profane language", then that would just be messed up, and a violation of freedom of speech.

I know that schools usually represse as much "profane" and "inappropiate" language as possible, but I think it's honestly just a bunch of bull to me why educational administrators would do something like that....Rules suck~

Wow, when did this turn from an XBL thread to a random law thread? lol.... anyway, I do know that a crazy law here in Kentucky is that it's illegal to put a swimsuit on your horse (don't ask, but I saw that law somwhere.....) and it's illegal for a woman to walk on a freeway carrying a bat.

What about the freedom to go to a safe school environment. Throwing the F-bomb at school like that is public indesentcy. Those students right to attend school in a safe environment superseeds your friends right to speak in that manner at school IMO.

In GA, I think it's still in the books that any "position" other than missionary is illeagal, lol. I think sociey waved goodbye to that law forever ago.

And I would have to modestly disagree with your first statement. I don't find that cussing permits "public indecency". Cuss words are only given meaning; they don't automatically "have" meaning.

And I would define "safe", as physically safe. Banning so-called "profanity" in middle schools and high schools is basically useless. Everybody knows them by then. That's like banning sex education. Everybody knows about it, so why regulate the use of it?
