New $199 Xbox 360 Arcade bundle rumored to include motion controller - Engadget

We've already heard plenty of talk about the Xbox 360 Arcade dropping to a mere $199, but a tipster to Xbox 360 Fanboy is now claiming that there's more than just a price cut in store for the entry-level bundle, with it also supposedly in line to get a motion controller as a pack-in. According to the source, who's supposedly "close to Microsoft's marketing department," the new bundle will include the usual Arcade games and 512MB memory card, as well as the forthcoming Fall update pre-installed, said motion controller, and some motion-controlled mini-games developed by Rare. Supposedly, it'll be released in time for the 2008 Holiday season, which may or may not mean that it's the same $199 Arcade bundle that's rumored to be on track for a September release. That same source also says that the motion controller will be sold separately and bundled with an even more expansive list of games, but word on a price or release date for it seems to be a bit harder to come by.

File this all under rumors'ville for now, but don't totally discredit the information. $199 Arcade's are sounding very likely and, with Microsoft's push to undercut the Wii, matching the Wii's motion controls sounds like a total possibility. We'll just have to wait and see.

It also might be the Motion Controller that someone mentioned (probably Da Ill One).
It may be aimed as a Wii killer and be aimed at families but I think most people have a wii....

I think that microsoft is already ahead of the wii cuz Nintendo has run out of ideas the last idea wii got was "wii squeaze" Microsoft has come with thousands of new ideas.

Nintendo DIDN'T make wii sqeeze! I doubt it's even real. If microsoft has thousands of ideas, WHY ARE THEY C-O-P-Y I-N-G NINTENDO!!!???? Avantars? Motion controler? Microsoft just needs to stick to computers. They should never have tried for gaming.

Well Nintendo has run out of ideas which is true. The 360 motion controller may not exsit cuz Microsoft knows thats nintendos idea and they dont want to be sued.

Why not? Microsoft is the best gaming corporation there is.

I don't understand why you hate the 360 so much. The Wii has no good games coming out for it and the entire console got boring after 2 months. Don't judge the 360 if you don't have one yourself.

Don't judge unless you have one and have played all types of games for it.

And it's not about copying the Wii, it's about getting more people to buy the 360 and eventually run Nintendo out of business.

Ok, so I'll send nintendo a letter telling them to make a 'Nintendo Live'. I don't hate the 360 but people act like it's their very sole! Also, they are NOT the best gaming corparation. I admit that they have done a lot right in the time they've been in the market. But when you get so dumb that you can't think up your own idea is just wrong. Microsoft will not be the ones to run nintendo out of busness. Nintendo doesn't have the top selling system for nothing. I'm not going even take the time to count how many qaurters in a row. It would take to long.

I get dumb? You argue that the 360 sucks. When you haven't played any of the good games. Damn. Play some good 360 games then talk to me. Until you play a 360 with an open mind, I don't want you to say **** about the 360.

Edit: Now that I said that, on with me talking.

I have played a 360 with a open mind. I honestly have. I've played a PS3 with a open mind. I have found that the 360 can be fun. But the fans boys are worse than I can humanly express.(No offence meant to you.) I've met someone who was a BIG Xbox fan boy. I would debate whether or not his loyalty was misplaced and he started singing family guy. He was blindly fallowing something he'd never bothered to think about and thought he was all that. This is the wrong thread to talk about this so I'll leave. But think about this. Maybe there's more to life than the 360 or FPS. The 360 encourages additction. With the best online on the market it can be very addicting. Would you do drugs? Or smoke, or drink? Like I said, maybe there's more to life than the 360.
