Yes, this is truly a wonderful game. It was a completely new idea at the time, and no one has really been able to make a similar series that's nearly as good. My favorite part of the game has got to be the warp pipes. I can easily get to world 8 in 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately, I can't manage to beat it from there. I always die too much. In fact, I've never been able to beat it without using the 100 1up trick.

I've beaten the game countless times, and it never gets old! World 8 is cake. Somtimes I get through it without dying! In 4-2, I also do the glitch where you pass up the beanstalk to World 8 and go down the pipe and get to World 8 without using the beanstalk! Fun, fun, fun.
P.S: "Mario64" is not a game for the NES. |

Super Mario Bros
Well what can I say, many a frustrated hour playing that. World 8 was rock solid, but I always went back for more. I never did finish it as a kid, it wasn't until we had a retro night when I finally finished the game. A little sad but what the hell.

The funny thing about Super Mario Bros. is that I never discovered any glitches myself. I read about them on the Internet, and tried them on the Game Boy Advance "Classic NES Series" version, and they worked. Before that, I never knew that Super Mario Bros. had glitches.

Same here, I think I may have stumbled across afew in Super Mario bros 3 but not even notice it. All I know is I used to play that game allll the time, I dusted off the old NES a couple of nights ago and it still hasn't lost it's charm

i remember being like 4 and playing this game ........
me my cuz and his friend would all try together and beat the game (we all had certain levels that some of us were good at and some were horible, so we switched off turns....despite our best efforts, we rarely made it out of the 1st world without that cheat in the 2nd level....good times though ![]() |
