By the way, bluewarwolf, without getting too religious here, 666 is the number of man, as in mankind, not satin, in the end of days, and there are three sixes on every bar code. One is at the beginning, one is in the middle, and one is at the end. You can't tell because it's in bar form for the computers to read, but you can see it if you know what you're looking for. I bet your mother-in-law would have a heart attack if you told her that. lol

I already knew that, but.... in all honesty, my in-law is...... slightly stupid (no offense to anyone). She wouldn't understand ANY of that, and I'd have to repeat myself at least 5 times, so I left it alone.

And a company called Wizards making a card game called Magic? Irony, anyone?? lol..... anyway, I think that his mom might have meant that "Hey, a company called Wizards? making Magic?? Satanic!!!!!"... maybe that kind of thing. Depending on your view of "satanic" though..... some people do think that magic is a form of evil.

Well, I'm really concerned that people will think that real magic is the same as the fake magic that they read about and stuff. People get a wijy board (I don't think I spelled that right) thinking that it's just a harmless game of fake magic. I know I sound like your mother-in-law, but I heard about some criminals who drew the pattern of the board on a table and tried to use it. The guards found them scaried because of what they had seen: a demon.

thousand foot wii-motes mom, do you find superman to be bad too? Pokemon is like having a superman that is a loving animal instead of a human. They are not slaves but actually enjoy fighting and when they lose, they are not harmed in any way. They just simply make swirly eyes and go back into their pokeball and a few minutes later, they're all happy! The pokemon creators even tried to prevent a bad influence on kids, just look at Team Rocket. They are crooks who try to steal pokemon and, in many cases sell them off or enslave them. Do you know what happens to them EVERY time they try to do that? They end up flying into the sky and land without injury. most people think/know that inside a pokeball is a recliner, medicin, and food to help the pokemon. If you watch the series you may see ash and his pokemon (especially pikachu) cuddling together in happiness. In the game, on several occasions you can give or do nice things to/with your pokemon. Massages, food, and even lemonade are available. This teaches responsability in a child as to what happens when you do not take care of an animal, it dies.(in this case when it goes into battle it dies much easier if it doesn't like the trainer). They are not slaves, if they were you would need a whip or other forms of punishment, no such thing in pokemon. I know you hate the move "Dream eater" there is a simple explanation for that. You see the game developers needed a ghost type attack that would take health from the enemy and refill the user's health, they needed a name for the attack. One said: "I have a dark one! how about soul sucker?" The others yelled and said it was too sinister, happiness eater? no too dark. "How about something like Dream eater?" one said. They all agreed that that seemed like the least sinister name so they named it that. I hope this enlightened you a bit

oaky your mom is sounding like that southern baptist church site did about SMG. There is nothing wrong about pokemon at all. SO does your mom wnat to ban your dreams too because at night people dream of way worst things then what pokemon is. SO is her point Nintendo is trying to make a blood thirsty army that have been brain washed by pokemon NO! ti is just a fun game to play she might as well say hello kitty is bad because it has talking cats in it.

Your mom's logic manages to fail in this area.... and so does every other Christian hater. (no offense to anyone)...... but if Pokemon is considered occulting, then just about everything else should be too. As far as sorcery goes, doesn't God himself use sorcery, hmmm? Definition of sorcery: Supernatural powers that allow one to do things with their mind; extend natural energy in the body to do supernatural things.

I don't want to start a religious debate though, so please don't take that in the wrong way.

No, He created the universe so it's just as well He can control it. There no way to explane it. I'll ask Him though (ie Heaven). Back on track. My mom isn't worried about violince or evolution. But the "Dark spirituality" that people say is in the games. If anyone can dissprove the possible "Ocultic themes", then it would greatly help.

I go back to what I said before..... if Pokemon is to be considered an "occult", then most of everythng else should be too, including the government, ANY part of television, the army, etc. etc...... seriously, what couldn't be considered an occult nowadays? A non-Christian could also claim that Christianity is an occult, with lots of proof.... so, what's the point?

Ok, here it is. My mom was brought up with a extreme disdain for pokemon. Then, after playing SSBM and SSBB I asked her what was wrong with pokemon (all my life I was taught to think its bad) and she didn't remember. So I prosided to drop hints that it wasn't bad, and borrow a game from my friend (a much bigger step than I should have taken). She then got anoid (my brothers and me had to play it constanly as we couldn't delete my friends save file. Again, a stupid thing to do) and googled 'Is pokemon bad?' and she found the first link I gave. Then, that night, she took it up to her room with her bible and desided that it was satanic. After that desition my older brother wrote a essay on pokemon (a pro-poke view) which she said she would talk to him about it. Well, in the month that followed he lost the essay. So we re-wrote a new one and included pictures. Well, the pictures scared her off so now we have to make an inproved version. That's where you guys come in. I need your help disproving all the thing that first link says. Now that we're clear, LET'S DO THIS THING!
