egads, you mean I have to read that whole.... thing that some strange lady wrote to try and de-mote Pokemon?? (lol I skimmed it.....)

Anyway, let's see..... she says "summoning', as in summoning demons..... but when did anyone say ANYTHING about summoning Pokemon? See, you "summon" monsters in certain rated M games, but not Pokemon..... they call that "calling a friend to your side to engage in friendly combat and other normal affairs", such as gardening or building. If they weren't your friends, they wouldn't do anything you said. Demons, on the other hand, if you summon them, that means you control them..... they do what you say whether they like you or not. Demons also kill.... Pokemon just "knock out" one another in a contest of strength, which is also commonly seen in kids karate matches, or wrestling. What, may I ask, is satanic about that?

By the way, what do you mean the pics scared her off??

lol you may have to slip a note somewhere where she'll get it.... that's what I did with my mom when she started that. Then it would take about a week or so for her to talk about it. I never had a problem with this stuff though..... my mom actually likes Pokemon (favorite is Growlithe).... she used to play Pokemon Yellow on her break at work. She's a Christian, by the way, but I'm not

Good for her. My dad could give a rip for pokemon. He played crystal (the game we borrowed from a friend) and said it was borring. My mom just doesn't want to like it.

Who said she HAD to like it? Parents should know..... whatever makes your kid happy, should make you happy (yes, I'm going to do that with my son ) No one said she had to be in on it.... if she's worried about what it'll "do to your mind", then maybe she should think about everything else that could "ruin kid's minds". Because everything does, nowadays.

In all seriousness though, if she hasn't played the game, and refuses to look at anything outside of the anti-pokemon arguments, she's not being rational and probably isn't going to be. However, as your dad has played the game and would seem to be not occultic, I would suggest pulling him in to help you out. If not...there's nothing you can really do anymore.

I have some other things to say that I'm with holding because I like to think I'm a decent person, but honestly, it's taking some willpower.

I don't understand? Is this a joke? I suppose the presence of psychic beings makes it evil in the sight of some Christians, but there are psychics and pagan gods in the bible too, so its obviously satanic and should be removed from your house. Is she the type of christian that just bans Harry Potter, or is she one of those people protesting at Heath Ledger's funeral.
Anyways, I would try to list counterarguments to the rest of her points but most of them are illegible. Good luck with the zealot problem.

Here's the basic rundown on how this usually goes:

CHURCH attacks CHRISTIAN with propaganda.
It's super effective!

GAMER attacks CHURCH with logical counterarguments, peer reviewed studies, and claims of exaggeration.
It's not very effective.
