Pokemon help
Ok, let me put this simply. My mom thinks pokemon is satanic, demonic, evil and over all bad. I'll compile a list of the reasons.
1.On several sites the word Pikachu means several differant gods.2.There are three differant pokemon named Abra, Kadabra and Alakazam. 3.There's a poke move that's called Dreameater. 4.The cycics (like Lucro) that are included. 5.That you suman your pokemon (like you sumon a demon). 6.The pokemon game cards are made by Wizerd company who also make Magic the Gathering cards. Note. My brother Hunter wrote that.

Yea, I'm confused as well..... but let's see.....
1. It's PikAchu, not Pikichu..... no way, shape or form a name for a god. 2. Those 3 names are words that human "magicians" use to make people think they're doing something. 3. .... your point is? How exactly can eating dreams be evil? Maybe it could eat your bad dreams, eh? And if you read the move description, the Pokemon LOVES to eat bad or "evil" dreams. 4. .... I have no clue. What are cykiks? And Lucro?? 5. You don't SUMMON them, you throw a ball and they come out of it (sounds kinda ghey though lol) 6. Wizards of the Coast s a very good TCG company.... why should their name make them evil? Besides, Wizards doesn't make them any more, Nintendo does. Anything else? I have a million reasons to counter people's assumptions that Pokemon is "satanic". Trust me.... my mother-in-law thought so too, but after a long talk she doesn't care anymore. At first she didn't even want them in her house. I'll never figure out why people think Pokemon are evil...... but it seems everything new that turns popular really fast ends up getting something bad said about it, and it spreads like wildfire. BTW, I have a Pokemon fan social group, you guys should join ![]() Last edited by Bluewarwolf; 06-09-2008 at 11:14 AM. |

Pokemon is barely cruel in the fact that they put little critters into air-tight balls and make them fight for their enjoyment. That's no reason to hate them though cause the pokemon LOVE it
again, i refer to this site: VG Cats - Comics - Updated Monday for proof although don't get me wrong, I love pokemon ![]()

Actually it wasn't really much of a talk...... I was just playing the TCG one day, and she says "He brought Pokemon into my house?" to my wife. She then grabs a card and points to the back, stating "See, this swirl makes two 6's" and then tried to find a third one somewhere. She actually couldn't find anything wrong with it besides that..... so I pointed out that the swirls look absolutely nothing like a 6 anyway.
Her only problem was that she thinks Pokemon stands for "triple 6's", which it doesn't. I fail to see how Pokemon are satanic. |

2. Ok....those are used for fake magic. Fake magic is diversion and sleight of hand. I like fake magic. 3. Psychic attack. I don't use it. 4. I don't use psychic pokemon, but I don't see much difference from the force. 5. We summon our dogs with wistles. The pokeball is an advanced carrying cage, and pokemon are animals with certain abilities. 6. I've never played the card game, but I'm not sure how that affects pokemon. Sam Raimi made some horror movies before Spiderman. That doesn't make Spiderman bad.

The card game could affect Pokemon in general because if someone (like my mother-in-law) can find anything wrong with the cards, then that person will believe that everything about Pokemon is evil. Thanks for reiterating everything I said though

I meant I'm not sure how the Magic the Gathering Cards affect Pokemon.
By the way, bluewarwolf, without getting too religious here, 666 is the number of man, as in mankind, not satin, in the end of days, and there are three sixes on every bar code. One is at the beginning, one is in the middle, and one is at the end. You can't tell because it's in bar form for the computers to read, but you can see it if you know what you're looking for. I bet your mother-in-law would have a heart attack if you told her that. lol
