I've heard of toothpaste to candlewax to peanut butter. Have any of you tried this? I know the toothpaste works well for cleaning CDs but I'm not going to try it on a DS.
Perhaps a scratch remover for eye glasses may work?

The best way would be like 2000 grit sand paper and a polishing compound, but that would require pulling the DS apart, so as to not get any sanding dust in the internals.

true, but this is a "do if your warranty is gone as a last resort" kinda thing. and sanding isn't dangerous if you know what you're doing. I've painted many cars though, so have a better grasp on it..

Yeah, you wouldn't sand your touch screen unless your warranty was gone and you had to buy a new one. Most of the permanent fixes for DS hardware issues void your warranty unless you pay money to have someone licensed do the same thing. >.>

if u sand your touch screen it would rpolly wear through the lil filmy layer above the touch screen. that would pretty mcuh ruin your screen.
