Removing scratches from Touch Screen

My brother really WAILS on his DS Fat's touch screen while playing his games, and as a result, he melts (yes, melts) several styluses a month and has severely scratched his touch screen. Is there any way possible to remove scratches?

I've heard of toothpaste to candlewax to peanut butter. Have any of you tried this? I know the toothpaste works well for cleaning CDs but I'm not going to try it on a DS.

umm you should have bought him a screen protecter from the get-go. as far as removing scratched when there alreay there i dont think you can, and for 150 $ i wouldnt be willing to find out if metling a candle or putting tooth paste on a ds really works


heres what i would do, if its sevrly scratched send it to nintendo and see if they wont put a new screen in, obvisly this wont be free, or just buy a new ds and put screen protecvters on it, as well as tell him to ease up on it

Yeah, it really wasn't my fault he screwed it up. I told him he should take better care of it in the first place. Oh well. When he gets the money he can just go buy a Lite.

Well, imo, Fats feel more solid and don't chafe my palms like Lites do. That's why I don't have one.

when i first got my ds in august 06, my sister hated me because she didnt get one. so i had to lend it her to play on... she went over to her friends one night and it came back with scuffed LR buttons and paint scratched off the corners.

now just about a week ago, i cought my 3yr old sister playing with my ds (not playing on the games) she was bashing the screen with a pencil and the sharp metal end where the eraser goes. i now have what looks like a horse hair chiseled on my ds touch screen

as for the screen stuff i agree with agravain, get screen covers!

i bought a Nintendo licensed combo pack including 2 screen protectors and 2 click-pen styluses for only $10.00 at Best Buy. SPLURGE! lol

i just tried to search on google and couldnt find the exact type so i cant post a pic without the trouble of taking one. if anyone really wants to check it out i will cause this is a super deal.

i made my wife get screen protectors on her new crimson one...i have a triforce one coming, and will def. be getting protectors for it before i even play it!
